De Kabouterboom (2020)
Client: Geldersch Landschap & Kastelen
De Kabouterboom (The Gnome tree) is the oldest tree of the Netherlands, with an astonishing 450 years in it’s bark. It’s located in a forest in Beek and during Covid, it was very lonely. The paths in the forest are narrow and that was partially the reason why not many visited it.
We were challenged to make a commercial in order to get more people to the tree. The goal was to show that the tree, had feelings and that it was lonely. So, with the help of the sun and the valley surrounding it, we set out the create a story around this tree.
