A FLIPPIN’ DATE
A Flippin Date’ for Samsung Flip4 (2023)

With the release of the new Samsung Flip4 we were given a testcase by Megawatt Eindhoven.
The brief tasked us to create a festival activation targeting 18-35 year olds. We came up with the following:
Festival-goers, from personal experience, tend to focus on anything but brands at festivals.
It is rarely that people come home and remember specific brands that were present at the festival.
So, we decided to create an experience where it would be impossible not to think of Samsung when talking about it. We came up with : A Flippin’ Date. The festival-goer gets paired up with a blind date, and during the blind date they get flipped upside down. They are given a Flip4 phone to use during the date. They can use this phone to take photo’s with and find inspiration for questions during the date.
Ultimately leading to forming a unforgettable memory attached to the Flip4 phone.
What better way to describe a date where you get flipped upside down than to say: “I went on a Flippin’ date”?
